About Me

Hi, I’m Christine the founder of this food blog. I am a wife, a mother of three, a nutrition consultant and a Scrapbooker. As I continue to learn more and more about food, I find it fascinating how much of an impact what you eat has on your body. I have been interested in nutrition pretty much since high school, which is why I had decided to go college to study nutrition. I have a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and completed a Nutrition Consultant program.

I started this food blog to share my beliefs about eating well. I will be sharing information on healthy foods, recipes, products and healthy tips on eating well, with a busy schedule. I am currently gluten free because I am gluten sensitive. All of the recipes I post on here and the ones that I recommend from other sites are gluten free, however, some recipes are also soy, egg and dairy free.

I don’t believe in short term eating plans and dieting that is not realistic. I believe people should have a healthy lifestyle every day. I think a lot of people feel that eating healthy means not enjoying food anymore. I am here to show you that is not true. I love food and I want to enjoy everything I eat, but I want it to be nutritious as well. I am going to show you that you can enjoy your food and be healthy at the same time!

I believe in eating real food regardless if you have allergies or not. Food that is real and unprocessed. Food without preservatives, pesticides, artificial colors, artificial flavors, and all the junk you find in many packaged food products, using organic and local as much as possible.

As a mother of three, I know sometimes it is hard to find the time to prepare a healthy, nutritious meal. I do feel that it is the most important thing we can do for ourselves and our families. It doesn't have to be complicated to create a healthy meal. I do not like how so many foods that people are eating and feeding to their children are filled with junk. I feel that we all need to get back to eating real food and steer clear of the processed foods.

Over a year ago, I found out that I had gluten sensitivity. Soon after I found out that my daughter was allergic to gluten and soy. At first, I was overwhelmed and confused. How would my daughter go to school and eat? How can we ever eat out? I will never get to have some of my favorite foods again! Now over a year later, I am in a much better place physically and mentally. I have tried many recipes and many products and I would like to share everything that I have found and believe with all of you. Welcome to my blog!
